A Japanese mega rock act and a top Asian anime series are joining forces. Japan's superstars MAN WITH A MISSION have recorded the first and last song of the movie "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Swordsmith Village Arc". An extremely hot combination: The first cinema version of the hit TV series was the world's most successful film in 2020 in terms of box office revenue; the band's videos get millions of clicks, and their concerts at home fill arenas! Now the quintet is coming to Germany for two guest performances in September. Tickets are available in advance.Man With A Mission are not a conventional group, but one with a fantastic history and a distinctive animal look! The reason for this, according to 'MWAM': They are an "ultimate life form" created by the biologist and amateur guitarist Dr. Jimi. After causing enormous harm around the world over the ages, it was frozen in the Antarctic for a long time and exposed to music there. Eventually, however, global warming melted their ice cages and allowed them to appear in public again in Japan. The band has released seven albums since they were founded in 2010. Stylistically, the emphatically melodic power sound, which has already accompanied the anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" and the video game "Street Fighter V", is most comparable to that of Linkin Park. They themselves describe their mix of alternative punk and hard rock plus some electronic music as "hybrid rock".
Man With A Mission also offer something visually eye-catching live: Tokyo Tanaka (vocals), Spear Rib (drums), Jean-Ken Johnny (guitar, vocals, rap), DJ Santa Monica and Kamikaze Boy (bass) perform with hyper-realistic wolf heads. Their two June dates offer a good chance to experience the five hybrids from Tokyo as a heavy contrast to trendy K-pop!
